About Fiona

Fiona is an APA Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and Certified Pilates Instructor.

I completed a Masters of Physiotherapy at Curtin University in early 2009, having previously studied a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science at Monash University.  After working in a large hospital in Perth, I returned to Melbourne in 2010 and have been working in private practice since. My belief in Clinical Pilates to improve posture, strength and flexibility has led me to be an educator of APPI Pilates in Australia since 2012.  You can read more about APPI Pilates teacher training by clicking through to the Unite Health website.

In 2015 I completed a Masters of Manual Therapy at the University of Western Australia, which has refined my assessment and diagnosis skills, ensuring a more efficient and effective treatment for clients.  This postgraduate qualification has allowed me to become an APA Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist.

In addition to these qualifications, I have completed a number of courses including Dry Needling (Level 1 & 2), Treatment of the Lumbar Spine and Pelvis (Level 1 & 2),  Mulligan Upper Quadrant (techniques for the neck, shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand), and courses for the management of sporting hip, groin and knee injuries.  In addition, I have completed an Introduction to Women's Health Physiotherapy course, allowing me to more effectively treat pregnant and post-natal women for a variety of conditions.
